TU Berlin Chemical Invention Factory

In 2020, 15 practices were invited to an open competition run by Phase Eins in Germany to compete in designing the new Green Chemistry Facility (Chemical Invention Factory) on the Charlottenburg campus, the largest of the Technische Universität Berlin.
Our office collaborated with Ritchie Studio in London for the competition, and the proposed design aimed to embody Green Chemistry principles, emphasizing economy, energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and the use of renewable materials.
The building’s design carefully considers energy consumption and carbon emissions, providing a high-quality environment for conducting world-class chemistry in accordance with Green Chemistry principles.
