The chair is designed as an all-round piece of furniture. It is light, the dynamic shape is recognizable but also easily combined with other furniture styles. The constructive idea determines both the appearance and the sitting experience.
The structure consists of two layers of curved plywood, which are connected to each other at 5 positions. The two end positions are firmly connected with two shells, while the middle three metal pieces are attached only to the smaller shell, thus allowing limited movement.
This results in a stable system which can respond simultaneously to different spring loads and represents elegant relaxation.
The piece of furniture is a competition entry for the Caiazza Memorial competition, commissioned regularly by the Italian furniture industry in order to support innovative design of chairs.
